Who We Are
Alison Kelly and Megan Griffiths have worked together on a large number of independent films, commercials, and corporate projects.
Working as part of the crew allowed them to experience first
hand the large volume of waste generated by the average production. They saw the difficulty of enforcing recycling and
composting efforts with crews who lack the time and energy needed to
focus on the environmental impact of their daily actions.
In
response, Alison and Megan founded Shoot It Green, a company developed
specifically to provide on-site recycling and composting, as well as
sustainability consulting services to film productions. This
service allows productions to provide a structured atmosphere for
environmental responsibility that does not place an unrealistic burden
on the cast and crew.

Botanical PaperWorks provides paper products that can be
planted to grow wildflowers. The paper is "tree-free", meaning that
the base fiber is cotton or 100% post-consumer waste. And it's made
with pure North American wildflower seeds by skilled papermakers paid a
living wage in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
